After all-round heroics in the decider, Australia completes a hat-trick of T20I series wins in India

On Tuesday, January 9, the Australian women cricket team completed an incredible comeback after their defeat in the first T20I to complete a series victory against India in Navi Mumbai. Alyssa Healy's side rode on the well-paced fifty of their captain and the unbeaten 52 of Beth Mooney to successfully chase down the target of 148 runs without much difficulty in the series decider at the DY Patil Stadium.
The Australian women's team completed the chase with eight balls and seven wickets to spare. India women were restricted to 147 in their quota of 20 overs after they were sent into bat first by skipper Alyssa Healy. The crowd of Navi Mumbai turned up in large numbers for the 3rd match of the series, cheering loudly for the home team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, but the hosts were not able to give the New Year's present to the passionate supporters.
Alyssa Healy won her first T20I series as full-time captain of Australia after taking over from Meg Lanning, who took retirement from international cricket back in November 2023. The visitors lost the series opener by nine wickets in a one-sided contest, but Healy marshaled her troops wonderfully well to end the tour with a series win.
