After a cricketer misbehaves with a party guest, Delhi Capitals issue a code of conduct

The Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have implemented a 'Code of Conduct' for their cricketers after one of them misbehaved with a woman at a franchise party. According to a source, the regulations were applied to all cricketers as well as the team's support personnel. According to the rule, which was put in place for the "maintenance of the franchise's public image," all cricketers were prohibited from bringing friends to their rooms after 10 p.m., and all meetings were to take place at the team hotel.

According to the Indian Express, all players would be required to notify any official from the Delhi Capitals before leaving the hotel for any meeting. In the event of a violation of the code, the players may face large penalties, and the franchise may elect to cancel their contracts on the spot.

The regulations were published following the encounter between the Delhi Capitals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
At this time, spouses and girlfriends of all cricketers are permitted, although travel expenses are provided by the players. During their tour, they share a room with the cricketers. If a player wishes to bring anyone to their rooms, they must now notify the IPL team integrity officer in advance and provide picture identification of the person.The Delhi Capitals are currently last in the IPL 2023 points standings, with four points from seven matches. Their tournament victories were against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
