After a 15-year wait, Venkatesh Iyer scores his first IPL century for KKR
Venkatesh Iyer scored his first IPL century on Sunday while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders against the Mumbai Indians. Venkatesh hit 100 off 49 deliveries in the match, which was contested at Wankhede Stadium, MI's home stadium. The 28-year-old is in excellent form this season; his previous best performance in the league was 83 runs off 40 balls against Gujarat Titans in the 16th edition of the IPL. Interestingly, this is the first century for KKR in 15 years, since Brendon McCullum scored a century in 2008.
