According to Mark Nicholas, several IPL franchises have expressed interest in The Hundred

The renowned commentator of cricket and the president of Marylebone cricket club, Mark Nicholas, has revealed that five franchises of the Indian Premier League have expressed an interest in acquiring a stake in London Spirit, a team that competes in the Hundred competition in England.
At Lord’s, Nicholas announced the plans for the World Cricket Connects symposium. That event is going to be held at the MCC on July 5 and is said to help shape cricket’s global success and provide a balanced setup for the stakeholders. The initiative will bring together several influential figures in cricket, such as BCCI secretary Jay Shah, India head coach Rahul Dravid, England’s Ben Stokes, and their Test team coach Brendon McCullum.
Nicholas said that it was important to get the support of the members of MCC if the club should accept ECB’s offer of having a 51 percent stake in London Spirit in a bid to privatize The Hundred.
Nicholas, who will take over as club chairman in October, said, “What we are putting to a vote is to accept the ECB’s offer of a 51% share of this franchise.”
He further added, “We will always be a members’ club. The first target is membership harmony because, as a member, you are entitled to a view. It’s very easy to knock people back because they’re difficult, but actually, there is quite a lot of good thinking that comes out of activism. You have to treat people with respect and hear their view.”
