Former captain of the South African cricket team, AB de Villiers, has praised India captain Rohit Sharma, saying he’s always had an incredible fighting spirit. Rohit became the second-fastest batter after Virat Kohli to complete 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, De Villiers said Rohit never backs down to anyone and has a great fighting spirit, saying, "Rohit was the fourth slowest to 2000 runs but the second fastest to 10000. How’s that for a comeback? I have a lot of respect for him. The first time I watched him play, I thought this guy had something special to offer. What I like most about him is that, from a very young age, he’s always had a fighting spirit. He would not back down to anyone."
Rohit has scored three back-to-back half-centuries in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.
