Former Indian Cricket Team batsman Aakash Chopra believes Virat Kohli should bat at number three in the Asia Cup and World Cup 2023. Team India has struggled to fill the gap at number 4 because of the injuries to KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. Both batsmen are going to make their comeback into the team in Asia Cup 2023, but team India is trying to prepare backup for the position in case they face an injury crisis once again.
Aakash Chopra, who is the former batsman of Team India, said that India will benefit more if Kohli plays at number 3. "There are two parameters to judge this. Virat Kohli's first success at number 4 is good, but at number 3, it's exceptional. A significant sample size reinforces this, and his performance equals India's best hopes.
