A former Indian star issued a statement as Hardik Pandya GT will meet Krunal lead LSG in IPL 2023

All-rounder Krunal Pandya is going to lead the Lucknow Super giants in the absence of KL Rahul for their upcoming match against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday. Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans will take on the Lucknow Super Giants led by Krunal Pandya in the battle of brothers at the famous Narendra Modi stadium.

Former all-rounder of the Indian cricket team, Irfan Pathan, said that the cricket fraternity is very impressed with the rapid rise of the Pandya brothers. He also said that "it will be a brother vs. brother contest as captain in the Tata IPL. The cricket fraternity is happy with the way the Pandas have progressed, but when GT is playing at home, it will be hungry to win. Then brother will not remain brother; he will be a member of an opposing team."

Krunal was named the stand-in captain of the Lucknow Super giants after India opener Rahul sustained a thigh injury in a home match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2023. KL Rahul has been replaced by Karun Nair, as LSG bought him for 50 lakh.
