A big boost for Lucknow's super giants as Arpit Guleria replaces Mayank Yadav

Lucknow Super Giants have announced Arpit Guleria as a replacement for injured fast bowler Mayank Yadav before the match against Punjab Kings. LSG have won three out of the four matches they have played so far in IPL season 2023 and are ranked second in the points table. They are going to face PBKS on their home ground, the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In the last match, while chasing the target of 212 runs with Nicholas Pooran hitting 62 runs off 19 balls, they won the match against RCB. On the other side, PBKS have won their first two matches but then lost the next two matches and are also still waiting for the return of injured Liam Livingstone.
Guleria, who is from Himachal Pradesh, is a fast bowler and has been added to the LSG team for the remainder of the 2023 IPL season. There is still no clarification behind the injury of Mayank Yadav or about how he got it, but Guleria got paid Rs 20 lakh for joining LSG.
Arpit made his debut in first-class cricket for Himachal Pradesh in the year 2018 against Hyderabad and is currently playing for the San Francisco 49ers. His List A debut was a year later, in 2018, against Maharashtra while representing Himachal. The last time he played was in the month of January in a FC match against Rajasthan in Jodhpur. He has played around 15 first-class matches and 12 List A games, taking 44 wickets at an average of 32 and 11 wickets at an average of 50, respectively.
