A big blow for the Lucknow Super giants as captain KL Rahul suffers an injury

In their home game against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow on Monday, the Lucknow Super giants were dealt an early blow as their captain, KL Rahul, left the field while grimacing in pain after a fielding attempt. This incident happened in the final bowl of the second over by Marcus Stoinis, when KL Rahul appeared to have pulled his hamstring while attempting to stop a boundary from the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Faf du Plessis, at covers. As he was running to stop the ball, Rahul fell to the ground midway and held his right leg in pain. After this, he was immediately attended to by the physios and taken off the field.
While talking about the match, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain won the toss and decided to bed first against the Lucknow super giants in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana cricket stadium in Lucknow on Monday. RCB lost their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Bangalore, while Lucknow are placed second on the table with a total of 10 points as they have won five matches and lost only three out of the total of eight matches they have played till now.
