👉 Manchester Originals – The RPSG Group, owners of Lucknow Super Giants, purchased a 70% stake, with Lancashire holding the remaining 30%.

👉 Northern Superchargers – The Sun Group, owners of Sunrisers Hyderabad, acquired a 100% stake.

👉 Southern Brave– GMR Group, who are already owning Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL, entered The Hundred competition after acquiring 49% stake in Southern Brave.

👉 Birmingham Phoenix – Knighthead Capital, a New York-based investment firm, bought a 49% stake, with Warwickshire retaining 51%.

👉 London Spirit – A consortium of Silicon Valley tech entrepreneurs, including Nikesh Arora and Sundar Pichai, acquired a 49% stake, while the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) holds the remaining 51%.

👉 Welsh Fire– Sanjay Govil, an Indian-American tech entrepreneur, purchased a 50% stake, with Glamorgan holding the other half.

👉 Trent Rockets– Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, through Cain International, bought a 49% share in Trent Rockets.

Past Year’s Recap– The Hundred 2024 considered as one the best balanced edition of the tournament where we had observed perfect match-up between bat n ball, Interestingly 150-55 was overall Par/Winning score of the tournament and DEFEND jackpot was the key and bat first and run on the board with good bowling attack made the things perfect for the team. It was also a perfect season from punters angle as most of the match results were match with the match odds. In the final Oval Invisible successfully defended 147 run against Southern Brave and clinch the title. In short from punter’s point of view past season was purely Box-Office stuff.

(1) History – Historically, The Hundred as a league is still at baby steps and finding their space among T20 leagues around the globe. However, the past 4 seasons got a good response and that led the ECB to continue with the experiment. First season started in 2021 where Southern Brave won the inaugural title and Trent Rockets were defending champions, In second season 2022 Trent Rockets bounced back nicely and won the championship and in 2023 Oval Invincible won by beating Manchester Originals in the final and Oval Invincible won the title in 2024 as well.

(2) Rules– As the Hundred is very special and different from other leagues so it’s really important to brush-up on rules to understand the game-play in a better way to avoid error/mistakes in bet/trading.

👉 Tournament Format – Total 8 Teams, 32 League Matches (Each team will play 8 match in Home/Away fashion); At end of the league stage, Table Topper team will directly qualify for the final and team finished with 2nd and 3rd position will play a solitary Eliminator round and winner of that Eliminator round will face table topper team in the grand finale.

👉 100 Balls Game – Number of overs replaced by number of balls that is 100 balls per innings.

👉 Change of Bowling Ends – A change of ends after 10 balls set.

👉 5/10 Balls set – A Bowler delivers either 5 or 10 consecutive balls, with each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game.

👉 25 Balls Power-play – A 25-ball power play start for each team in which only two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.

👉 3 Overseas/Foreign Player Allowed in Playing 11 – Unlike other leagues where 4 Overseas/Foreign Player Allowed in Playing 11, The Hundred has restricted it to max 3 Overseas/Foreign Player Allowed in Playing 11 to boost their local/domestic players talent.

👉 New batter take strike– The non-striker must return to their original end after a wicket, except run-out scenario that leads to a New batter will take a strike every time when wicket falls (except run-out).

👉 2 runs for No Ball – No-balls are worth two runs and a free hit.

👉 2.5 Minute Strategic Timeout – Each bowling side gets a strategic time-out of 2 minutes after power play finishes (First 25 balls) and can take at any stage of game before the start of the 90th ball of the game.

👉 1 DRS Review allowed – Each team entitled for 1 successful DRS review per inning.

👉 Min 25 Balls for Match Results – Minimum of 25 balls of each innings has to be bowled to decide match results OR in other words minimum of 25 ball game is required for match results.

👉 Revised DLS for 100 balls – ECB has tweaked in DRS that suits for 100 balls and DRS result will be decided as per revised DLS.

👉 Over-Rate Penalty – Slow over-rates are penalised by one fewer fielder being permitted outside the ring for the final set. Cut-off time to start the 90th ball is 1.15 hrs.

👉 Super Five for Tie Match – Applicable for knockout matches only (Eliminator and Final) – They have replaced super over with super five in hundred that allows each team to bowl 5 balls to determine the result for Tie Match. Any tie in the league stage will be awarded 1-1 points to each team.

👉 Match Toss outside Ground/Pitch Area – It’s not mandatory to have a toss at ground/pitch area whereas in 100, A match toss can happen anywhere in ground, it could be at band box or at edge of the boundary.

(3) Venue Details – The Hundred will play across the 8 venues as in Home/Away style with each venue awarded 4 home matches for their respective franchisee. Kennington Oval and The Lord’s, London will host 1-1 more matches then other venues as Eliminator and Finals are awarded to this venue irrespective of table position.

👉 Lord's, London– Home Team London Spirit – The Lord’s considered as a ‘The Mecca’ of cricket and believe it or not but it’s one of the bluffest venues of all time where unpredictable results wait for their own glory. As a punter be very careful with Lord’s matches as most of the matches are full of bluff. Traditionally supports bats first for a reason. As per 100 stats Average par winning score is 145-50.

👉 Kennington Oval, London – Home Team Oval Invisibles – Oval considered as one off run fest venue of England nowadays, with flat pitches and practise pitches at boundary it makes it more difficult to defend a total at the Oval. 👉 The Rose Bowl, Southampton – Home Team Southern Brave – Southampton offers a true and bouncing pitch that allows bowlers to keep interested in the game. With strong bowling line-ups in kitty a team can defend mediocre total as well at this venue. As per 100 stats Average par winning score is 150-55.

👉 Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester – Home Team Manchester Originals – Old Trafford considered as chase master ground in many terms. Old Trafford offered good pitches that supported both a good batting and good bowling side as well. As per 100 stats Average par winning score is 145-50.

👉 Edgbaston, Birmingham – Home Team Birmingham Phoenix – Birmingham is the venue that every punter licks their lips, from ages Birmingham has produced jaw dropping matches with JP (don’t go too far just have a look at recently concluded Vitality Blast’s Final Day results).
