Delhi Capitals reveal a "Rainbow"-themed jersey for their last IPL 2023 match against CSK
The Delhi Capitals will play their last match of this season in a special jersey against the Chennai Super Kings. The franchise made the official announcement about this on Twitter. On Saturday, May 20, David Warner and his teammates will wear rainbow jerseys at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi against CSK. The new jersey will be light blue in colour with a patch of rainbow below. After RCB, LSG, and GT, DC became the fourth team in IPL 2023 to wear kits for special causes.
For the uninitiated, the rainbow represents the LGBT community. Although DC has yet to make an official announcement about the reason for their special rainbow kits, fans are speculating that it is to raise awareness for the LGBT cause. They had also worn this special jersey during the IPL 2022 against KKR.
Although at that time, DC wanted to kick off their IPL second half on a colourful note, this time, against CSK, DC would be hoping to end their IPL 2023 campaign on a positive note.
DC are out of the IPL Playoff race, but just like they did against PBKS, they would aim to play spoilsport against CSK, as CSK needs a win to ensure a top-two spot in the playoff.
